ProColombia: Japan

This past summer, We Communicate partnered with ProColombia on a major tourism initiative, showcasing the unique beauty and culture of Colombia to a prime audience in Osaka, Japan. Running from July through August 2025, the campaign was designed to capture the attention of Japanese travelers, placing Colombia high on their list of must-visit destinations. Our strategy centered on securing the most valuable, high-impact locations across the city to ensure the message was not just seen, but impossible to ignore.

The campaign began with a significant presence at the Osaka International Airport. An airport placement is essential for any successful tourism push, providing direct exposure to both travelers arriving in and departing from Japan. To build on this foundation, we secured high-visibility placements in some of Osaka’s most recognizable transit and entertainment hubs. This included a prominent billboard in the heart of Dotonbori, ensuring the campaign became an unmistakable feature of the city’s iconic nightlife and commercial energy.

ProColombia’s creative team developed visuals that were truly exceptional. Their compelling design was crucial to the campaign’s success, translating the vibrancy of Colombia into striking, large-format ads. To achieve maximum city-wide saturation, we selected additional key sites known for their massive pedestrian traffic. These included high-impact spots at the TSUTAYA EBISUBASHI store and the SYNCS 7 building. By focusing on these specific, strategic locations, we guaranteed that the beautiful creative was seen by hundreds of thousands of commuters, shoppers, and locals daily.

The results demonstrate the power of a highly targeted Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) media plan. By combining the direct reach of the airport with the continuous, high-volume visibility of Osaka’s central districts, We Communicate ensured ProColombia’s tourism message was dominant throughout the summer. This campaign successfully positioned Colombia as a top travel choice for the Japanese market, proving that strategic location selection and modern digital media are the keys to driving large-scale brand awareness and engagement.
